Description

• Assist in Preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations, Balance Sheet and other
• Generate monthly KPI reporting
• Ad Hoc Reporting/Projects
• Process salary payroll and record payroll related accruals
• Backup for hourly payroll * Assist with developing budgets
• Provide support before and during annual audit
• Oversee credit card to include coding, approval and timely payment
• Prepare monthly profit sharing and commission reports
• Manage document control and policy/procedures for Accounting and HR departments
• Assist with capital expenditure reporting and variance analysis
• Maintain fixed asset ledger including depreciation/amortization entries
• Assist with daily/weekly cash management * Maintain proper inventory valuation in the GL
• Provide backup for accounting staff

Profile

• 5+ years accounting experience; CPA, CMA or MBA a plus, but not required
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with cost accounting a plus but not required
• Knowledge of budget development, projections and variance analysis
• Experience with GL, JE preparation, monthly and annual close processes
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting, depreciation/amortization calculations
• Experience with accounting software & ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, and Excel (including vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects is a must
