OVERVIEW:

As a Finance Business Partner/Management Accountant at Central Coast Local Health District you will identify opportunities for improvement, manage budgets and provide business advice to our hospitals and service units to support management meet their performance targets. Your objectives will be to champion financial sustainability, enhance decision-making and improve the financial capacity of operational managers - all of which will ultimately result in better care for patients and better health outcomes for our community.

REQUIREMENTS:

As roles within our team do not open up very often, we are looking for an exceptional candidate:
• Experience: Extensive relevant professional experience in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (both technical and soft skills).
• Education: Degree in accounting, finance, business or similar is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent budgeting and forecasting skills, critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. You must also have superior time management and Excel skills.
• Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so you should have initiative, be self-sufficient and self-motivated. It is also important that you are able to effectively and respectfully communicate (both verbally and in writing) with colleagues and customers and build relationships and networks across the organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Finance Business Partner/Management Accountant you will need initiative as you will be responsible for:
• Budgeting - building budgets and forecasting year-end results.
• Reporting on progress against budget, staff and activity targets.
• Responding to ad-hoc enquiries on a wide range of financial and operational issues.
• Analysing and providing business insights and identifying improvement opportunities.
