Are you an astute and methodical Bookkeeper, ideally with experience of working in an accountancy firm or internal accounts environment?
Would you be keen to develop your skills within a forward-thinking organisation where you will be actively involved in ensuring the best service is delivered to all clients?
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Bookkeeper to join a developing Accountancy firm on a permanent basis, splitting your time between their Lichfield office and home-working to suit your needs.
Joining this growing firm as a Bookkeeper, you will oversee and take responsibility for managing all aspects of client's bookkeeping, from various transaction streams. With an organised approach, you will support with the preparation and submission of client's VAT returns, acting as their main point of contact and providing excellent service at all times. Being mindful of submission deadlines for numerous clients, you will juggle priorities with ease, working across multiple internal and financial applications and software and ensuring confidential financial information is logged, tracked and stored effectively.
Working alongside the Outsourcing Manager, you will work together to ensure a smooth and streamlined service is delivered to all clients, maintaining long-term business relationships. Creating regular financial reports for clients and collating information for internal purposes, you will have an excellent eye for detail and be able to offer guidance on an array of matters, including regular forecasting. Working in a regulated environment, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all data is compliant at all times and be actively involved in the everyday administration of the office.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience working in a Bookkeeping role, with a strong knowledge of bookkeeping software, particularly QuickBooks, with Sage or Xero being an added bonus. Attention to detail and accuracy will be of the most importance, as will the ability to work to deadlines and with minimal supervision. Ideally you will have experience liaising with clients at all levels and be comfortable building long-term relationships, both with external clients and internal stakeholders.
In return you will receive an excellent salary and benefits package, including the option for remote working, whilst developing your career with a well-regarded Accountancy practise.
