Description

As the Financial Accountant based from Farnborough, Hampshire you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of monthly accounts, including month-end and year-end reporting needs;
  • Monthly accruals calculations, intercompany accounts management and reconciliations, journal postings with an overall view over the General Ledger;
  • Cash management (sharing with the rest of the team);
  • Statutory financial accounts filing, VAT and statistical reporting;
  • Lead audit queries resolution;
  • Financial processes improvement with related documentation and internal controls implementation (incl. but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations); focus on automation;
  • Work closely with the Head office (Geneva finance team) on accounting and reporting harmonization, as well as timely response to queries;
  • Transactional back-up flexibility for other team members and openness to process AP, AR, treasury entries when needed;
  • Management of Accounts Assistant;
  • Ad-hoc projects and queries.

Profile

Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA or Qualified By Experience

Strong IT familiarisation e.g. Windows/Microsoft Office/Excel/Sage; ability to learn and

operate accounting packages interfacing with operational systems;

Practical experience in the UK accounts department, flexibility to work in a dynamic

and evolving working environment;

Ability to work autonomously within the remit set out by the Group Chief Accountant;

Attention to detail and high-quality output;

Ability to work to demanding deadlines;

Willingness to tackle unfamiliar tasks;

Flexible mindset;

Ability to prioritise tasks in a complex environment;

Team player;

Willingness to take ownership of an issue and manage to successful resolution

Job Offer

Salary £40,000 - £47,000

24 days holiday plus 8 statutory days per year.
