Our partner is an international conservation organisation. They are seeking an interim resource to cover the absence of one of their key finance staff.

For this role, the successful individual will support in strengthening their controls and processes of partner organisations in East and West Africa; here, they are due to receive two substantial grants from USAID and the EC, and they have identified gaps in controls and processes, both more broadly in terms of finance, and specifically around grants management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Qualified or QBE accountant with experience of working in a programmes / grants finance role within an INGO
  • Experience of grants compliance & reporting, specifically USAID and EC grants; this includes reviewing and establishing controls and processes, and grants monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience of coaching staff remotely.

The initial contract will be for 2 months, but there might be scope to extend. They are ideally seeking someone able to work full-time, however, for the right candidate would consider part-time working (up to ideally 4 days/week). An immediate start is required.

This role is only open to candidates with the right to work in the UK; the successful candidate will be required to be office-based in Cambridge 3 days/week.
