Site Controller (Penang)

You will be leading the finance department on the day to day finance and accounting operations overseeing the Malaysia business

Our client is a global packaging manufacturer that is currently looking to expand their business in Malaysia through acquisitions of local manufacturers looking for passionate finance talent to set up and lead the finance team in Malaysia

Description

• Manage inventory costing of assigned entity
• Manage accounts payable and receivable activities of the company
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during month end
• Prepares and analyze monthly financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statement, and key metrics
• Preparation of company budgets and forecasts
• Lead completion of audit requirements
• Responsible for the preparation and filing of all statutory tax and accounting reports per local statutory requirements
• Perform ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required

Profile

• Excellent English communication and written skills
• Bachelor Degree related to Finance and Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing company with strong background in legal compliance.
• A strong knowledge of Excel and financial statements
• Solid understanding of finance, accounting, information systems and related disciplines
• Experience with Microsoft AX or similar accounting system is an advantage
