Job Description
Treasury Chief Investment Office – Business Analyst/Sr. Analyst
The Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) Project is a multi-year, firm-wide initiative to achieve a world class liquidity risk management capability with target operating model for liquidity risk management including:
- Liquidity regulatory reporting.
- Management analytics (stress, scenario analysis).
- Management reporting (liquidity limits, ratios, metrics).
- Collateral management.
- Allocation of liquidity costs.
Regulatory reporting currently covers the firm's US, EBA/ECB, PRA and APAC region regulatory requirements with other regulators to be included in the future. To meet these objectives, the project will create a detailed repository of liquidity data firm-wide with advanced analytical tools to enable all liquidity risk management analysis. The role’s primary focus will be responsible for Securities, Secured Financing and Structured Notes. This will include, but is not limited to, root cause analysis, gathering new or modified requirements, system/data gap analysis, measuring materiality, managing testing, defect reporting and resolution as well operating model implementation. In addition, the role will require extensive stakeholder’s communication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysis of trading book / banking book data for implementation across a suite of regulatory and internal management reports.
- Analyzing the prescribed regulatory requirements when necessary.
- Identify key data quality issues and drive remediation with technology.
- Collaborate with Liquidity Risk Policy, Oversight, Middle Office and technology teams to identify gaps, offer solutions for their remediation.
- Work with internal stakeholders on product development and management, including business model enhancements and change management.
- Produce and present scorecards to senior management.
- Creation or review of Business Requirements Documents and Functional Specifications.
- Assist in application tool development and refinement including redesign adjustment functionality within LRI and the data analytics tool.
- Facilitate and/or participate in user acceptance testing of the product proactively identifying issues and tracking through to resolution.
Qualifications
- 1- 3 years hands-on experience in the business/finance environment in financial industry.
- Understanding of data processing and project management, a plus.
- Experience in Banking industry; Business analysis, Project management or Treasury background is a plus.
- Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to analyze and draw conclusions from large amounts of data in Excel.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must.
- Team player with the ability to manage competing demands in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Back ground on Operational, Credit or Market Risk a plus.
- Knowledge of all or any of the products required:
- Commitments Products,
- Prime Brokerage Products,
- Banking Products like deposits, borrowing, cash and loans,
- Securities and Securities Financing,
- Derivatives.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Power Point, Visio, Tableau and SQL is a plus.
