MANUFACTURING COST ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for maintaining the inventory master files and new part number creation.

• Manage the Pronto costing system, monitor manufacturing variances and gross margin analysis,

• Assist, prepare and forecast of the annual manufacturing budgets, monitor fixed and variable overhead costs

• Review and create Bills of Materials in the ERP system.

• Raise and complete factory work orders in the ERP system.

• Perform cost analysis on manufactured products.

• Assist with implementing cost accounting procedures and policies.

• Review and prepare product costings and pricing for new and existing products.

• Prepare and review the factory overhead recovery rates on an annual basis.

• Manage and process the landed cost calculations on all imported materials and products.

• Develop monthly reporting for gross profit margins, inventory reporting and sales analysis.

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of processes and related systems to effectively perform responsibilities.

• Prepare and manage annual stocktakes and co-ordinate monthly cycle counting requirements.

• Liase with external auditors as part of the annual audit requirements

• Responsible for month end and year end closing procedures of the inventory system.

• Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.

• To be responsible for other tasks assigned from time to time by Senior Management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting / ACCA / CIMA or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

• Strong analytical skills, numeracy, and good financial understanding.

• Knowledge of transfer pricing documentation and requirements of related party transactions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and exposure to ERP systems is also advantageous.

• Possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and commitment to efficiently meeting deadlines.

• Be familiar with the ISO:9001 2015 Quality Management Standards.

• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Confident, self-motivated with initiative, positive working attitude, able to work independently.

• Good communication skills, well organised, reliable, punctual, and well presented.

• Team Player, fast learner with a willingness to learn and meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
