The Role

xDesign is looking to further strengthen the Finance Team with the appointment of an experienced and collaborative Accounts Assistant, looking to further their career within a growing company.

As the Accounts Assistant at xDesign you’ll be responsible for:

  • Accurate input of purchase ledger invoices and expenses
  • Preparation of payment runs
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Raising client invoices
  • Credit control
  • Regular reporting as required


2+ years of practical finance experience including:

  • Accurate purchase ledger input, resolving supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Experience in conducting credit control via email and phone. Escalating any issues on a timely basis and assisting to resolve them.
  • Experience of daily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts.
  • Excellent IT skills.

Our ideal candidate would also:

  • Have experience managing the end to end purchase ledger process
  • Be highly organised, a self starter and quick learner
  • Take pride in producing high quality, accurate and timely information
  • Show excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Offer an intermediate to advanced level of Excel usage

Additional skills and qualifications that would strengthen your application:

  • Ambition to work towards a professional qualification, ACCA, with study support provided
  • Experience in Xero, and G Suite would be advantageous

While this position is Edinburgh based, we operate a hybrid working model so flexible remote working during the week is available.
