Your new role
With large organisational growth, demands on financial management have increased, which will be best supported by an in-house accountant. The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial reporting requirements of the organisation. The role will ensure all financial statements are prepared accurately, and in a timely manner in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
This position works collaboratively with the finance team, to contribute to WLSV's strategic priorities and outcomes.
The position will report to the Finance Manager, and supported by a Bookkeeper. The role is ongoing, and can be worked either full time or part time (minimum 4 days).
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working with tight deadlines, in a fast paced environment, and able to manage the completion of accurate financial reporting and reconciliation's within agreed timeframes. You are very comfortable with Excel and have well developed verbal and written communication skills.
The role requires:
- An Accounting qualification - completed or working towards completing
- At least 3 years' experience working as an accountant
- Excellent understanding of the accountings standards and ability to interpret legislation relating to accounting standards and other regulatory requirement.
- Strong knowledge of excel and accounting packages (preferably Xero and ApprovalMax)
