THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will suit an individual with over 2 years' experience as an ICT Business Analyst within an Australia Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Key to this role will be the ability to work with a range of stakeholders across the business to look at software in place and formulate system requirements, develop system plans and documentation, review and evaluate existing systems, and design and modify systems to meet users' business needs.

This role will be based in our Head office at 570 St Kilda Road Melbourne - Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying and communicating with users to formulate and produce a requirements specification to create system and software solutions
  • Analyse and document workflows between key data systems and applications and identify key continuous improvement opportunities
  • Analyse data for the purposes of forecasting and diagnosing past and expected operational performance
  • Analyse and interpret key data to predict and analyze key trends (eg. Sales, withdrawal rates, etc)
  • Work on key data and system related projects that aligns with the day to day and longer term requirements of the business
  • Analyse and document workflows between key data systems and applications and identify key continuous improvement opportunities
  • Carry out analysis to define configuration specifications and business technological requirements and make recommendations to Management
  • Maintain accurate records of relevant technical and business information and provide reports to management
  • Communicate across teams to obtain feedback on systems in place and assist in resolving issues as programs occur
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities regarding the systems and software in use across the business
  • Carry out analysis to define configuration specifications and business technological requirements
  • Develop and implement best practices and processes for improved system methods
  • Run system tests to monitor performance and ensure optimum quality
  • Collaborate with technical specialists such as systems analysts and developers to optimize and enhance a system
  • Utilise IT resources to create IT solutions effective in meeting the requirements of the business and to streamline student enrolment processes
  • Work to project briefs and within specific quality measures
  • Work to allocated timeframes.


WHO YOU ARE

Possessing a passion and flair for evaluating processes and methods used for our existing ICT systems including VETtrak, VETenrol, Canvas, Readyskills and Salesforce.

You will be experienced in developing system, plans and documentation, and reviewing and evaluate existing systems, and designing and modifying systems to meet users' business needs.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be passionate about systems and technology used in adult education and have a clear understanding of how systems are utilised aligned with adult learning principles.

Key Skills, experience & Qualifications:

  • Hold an operational knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 (RTO Standards) in relation to student progress and data reporting's
  • Hold tertiary level qualifications in ICT, data and systems analytics;
  • Ability to meet ASQA Fit & Proper persons requirements;
  • At least 2 years' experience as a ICT business and systems analyst within an Australia Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
  • Able to effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in using the following systems that enables a deep level of system and data analysis to occur:
    • VETtrak
    • VETenrol
    • Salesforce
    • Canvas LMS
