The Role

Reporting to both the European Headquarters and to the local General Manager, the role will have responsibility for the production and finalisation of the ANZ P&L, all budgeting, forecasting and dealing with any ad hoc queries that arise from the Sales and Marketing teams. More specifically, the role will:

  • Manage an Assistant Accountant 
  • Work closely with the Country Manager, support the business Oversee the operations of the accounting and controlling activities
  • Lead and oversee all general accounting functions, including the monthly closings, reporting (group consolidation, management reporting, local statutory and regulatory reporting)
  • Ensure corporate taxes and GST filings 
  • Prepare and review year-end financial statements and assists with auditors' requests
  • Monitor and review business trends and support the decision making process through financial analysis. 

Your Background

Key to the success of this role will be someone that is 

  • Very happy to be hands on - this is not a role for someone that wants an ‘Ivory tower’ role 
  • Has been either a developing Finance Manager, or a strong Financial/Management Accountant that has had ownership of the month-end and reporting function
  • Strong communicator, not just a number cruncher and can interact with a variety of personalities 
  • Ideally from a SME background
  • CA / CPA (or similar) qualified
