Our client is a highly regarded business with ambitious growth plans. Building on an established track record, they operate in an exciting sector with attractive immediate and long term prospects, and are at the forefront of best practice operational efficiency and product innovation.They are looking for an enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our finance team on a full-time basis.

Objective of Position
  • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary systems;
  • Preparation of timely and accurate financial reports;
  • Ensure Company asset values comply with Accounting standards, relevant legislation and guidelines.
Key responsibilities
  • Month end journals as required and the review and analysis of monthly results of the business
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial performance against business KPI's and provide detailed commentary to key stakeholders.
  • Account for balance sheet items as part of the month end process.
  • Assist Finance Manager in end of month reporting including the development of reports on key areas within the division (OPEX including fuel and maintenance spend, labour, capital, other).
  • Provide assistance to the Finance Manager in managing the day to day financial performance of the business.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing forecasts, strategic plan and budget for the business.
  • Commitment to the provision of a high level of customer focus to both internal and external customers.
  • Develop a key understanding of current operational and financial systems.
  • Other duties as described by the Manager.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Suite experience
  • Strong attention to details and problem solving
  • Technically proficient in accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in the use of Oracle will be considered highly advantageous
  • Eager and willing attitude to learn new skills and processes
  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
