An new exciting opportunity as Head of Tax for a G15 Housing Association. This role will lead in the formulation of the Group's tax strategy as it enters a period of consolidation to rationalise the numbers of entities across the Group following significant M&A activity whilst continuing to grow its estimated £4.9bn development pipeline.

Description
The focus of the role will be that of an in-house tax advisor in respect of indirect and direct tax:
- working closely with the business advising them on tax implications of new business initiatives and making recommendations from a tax perspective;
- maintaining and developing an open and effective working relationship with HMRC ensuring that tax compliance matters are adhered to, managed and delegated effectively to a Tax Manager;
- where appropriate procuring external tax advice to manage risk, budget and professional expertise effectively;
- providing guidance to senior management on M&A at due diligence stage and on integration of successfully acquired businesses;
- implementing tax policies and establishing clear group position in respect of tax risk.
Profile
The successful candidate will be operating at a Finance Senior Management level and be able to demonstrate the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at various levels. It is the ideal opportunity to consolidate the Group structure and the role will be working with all levels within the business and in particular be part of the senior leadership team in Finance to recommend entity structures best suited for the Group's tax strategy.
