J.P. Morgan Payments Technology provides Payments & Commerce, Trade and Liquidity solutions to clients across the world. Teams are constantly innovating, using the latest technology and data analytics to deliver specialized solutions to help clients grow and streamline their businesses. A key agenda over the next few years is the build-out of the strategic payments platform to replace the current regional payments systems and external clearing integration. The APAC delivery team covers the rollout of the new platform to the APAC branches in addition to supporting the teams on regulatory commitments and enterprise wide programs such as ISO.

We are hiring an experienced Functional Business Analyst to join JP Morgan's global payments team in Singapore. You will shape the technology solutions that drive strategic initiatives across the firm. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities, and translate that insight into high-quality solutions. In addition to working with the development team to create new solutions, you'll help optimize existing technology and identify new capabilities. While your role requires deep technological skills - including expertise in everything from data management to functional design - it also hinges on teamwork and leadership. You'll offer clear guidance and feedback to your Business Analysis colleagues, while promoting the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the functional analysis during the Analysis & Design phase of projects
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to new and existing clients
  • Provide leadership within the design discussion and influence stakeholders in line with the our product and future strategy
  • Document the client requirements functional documents and artefacts
  • Create detailed features, stories and keeping the documentation up-to-date
  • Manage the documentation review and approval process with the stakeholders
  • Take ownership of the functional solution and associated artefacts
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the project and product teams
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions to the business users
  • Liaise effectively between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with your team
  • Pro-actively lead/participate in design/solution architecting of target state
  • Provide guidance and support to team members

Experience and Skills Required
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of Business Analyst experience in a Banking and Financial Services industry. Exposure to core banking, payments domain are must-have skills
  • Experience working on major global digital transformation initiatives, example: SWIFT GPI, ISO 20022, Real Time Payments.
  • Advanced proficiency in business applications, data usage, and management
  • Drive creation of detailed functional specifications with AS-IS process flows and target state processes
  • Provide functional support throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements/functional specs to reviewing SIT and UAT test cases, and supporting all the testing phases.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle in agile methodology
  • Experience obtaining requirements from business users and subject matter experts, reviewing business priorities, and/or analyzing options & risks
  • An eye for details, strong analytical mindset and strong communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop business and functional requirements.
  • Ability to interface directly with Senior Business Stakeholders and users with a view to influence and drive consensus.
