Group Treasury forms part of the wider Financial Services division. Group Treasury is responsible for the Group’s funding and liquidity management, capital forecasting and execution, and asset and liability management. Group Treasury works closely with the business units across a number of areas providing strategic assistance and advice to support the decision-making processes of the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO), Executive Committee and the Board.

Group Treasury Finance provides management accounting and product control support for Group Treasury Front Office operations, including Portfolio Management (Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity Investment Portfolio), Group Funding & Liquidity and Capital & Regulatory Strategy desks. It also provides daily and monthly accounting and performance management and planning for front office desks, the Treasury leadership team and Group Finance.

The role covers oversight of the Group FR&A activities for Treasury Finance and end to end business partnering and reporting role to the Capital Management teams in Group Treasury.

Do work that matters

The role includes, but is not limited, to the following:

• Leadership of a small team
• Oversight and management of the Treasury Flash P&L reporting process,
• Oversight and management of Treasury’s NIM (net interest income) and Yield analysis and support to Group Finance ad-hoc requests in relation to Treasury’s performance analysis
• Forecasting & Planning: Oversight and management and support to the individual Treasury finance teams with regards to the Treasury P&L and Balance sheet forecasting & planning work, such as monthly forecast updates and annual planning cycle.
• Financial & Balance Sheet Controls: Support ongoing analysis and reporting on key Treasury balance sheet positions, their reconciliation and substantiation.
• Statutory Reporting: Oversight and Support role in half year and year end statutory reporting processes.
• Manage the month end Capital Management Desk P&L Flash process including;
• Calculation of appropriate monthly capital charges and transfer pricing adjustments;
• Treasury inputs into Group monthly equity rebate & capital allocation distribution processes; and
• Preparation of Capital monthly Performance Packs for Treasury leadership team
• New Capital Structures: Finance lead role in supporting Treasury Front office new capital structure set up, primarily in aspects of supporting accounting and product system set up including Shareholders Equity, Tier 1 and 2 loan capital.
• Capital Repatriations and Dividend payments oversight
• Expenses Analysis: Monitoring capital transaction driven operating expenses (primarily professional fees related) including application of fee capitalization policies.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

• Tertiary education in Risk, Accounting or Finance,
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CFA, CA/CPA) preferable.
• Experience with relevant CBA systems – such as PeopleSoft, Essbase, Tableau, SQL and strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Aptitude for developing technology and automation solutions for reporting process improvements
• Strong attributes in aspects of communication skills, attention to detail, managing multiple deliverables and stakeholder management
• Working knowledge of principles of Treasury function and regulatory framework including Basel 3, Capital, risk weighted assets, and Transfer Pricing principles.
