As a part of the ongoing response to Citi's Consent Order, Treasury and Trade Solution (TTS) group is looking for a strong Business Analysis Lead to lead the business analysis effort supporting Finance demand into ICG Technology platforms, particularly in Accounting and Ledger functional areas for Core Banking. The successful candidate will work closely with different Finance stakeholders and Global Technology teams.

This role will be based out of London and will report to the workstream lead within ICG Technology for Consent Order, Finance, Books & Records.

Responsibilities
  • Work in close collaboration with different stakeholders within Finance and Consent Order workstreams to jointly develop the requirements
  • Be a partner to the business stakeholders and understand underlying benefits delivered and drivers for the requirements to be delivered by technology teams
  • Lead workshops to describe application functionality and the ability to support current business functions and processes, determine functional gaps, propose workarounds, and identify potential areas of development.
  • Lead the team of business analysts and guide them to adopt Agile practices e.g. definition of user stories, backlog, acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with dev and QA leads and act as the voice of the business to define sprint goals, participate in agile ceremonies like sprint review, retrospective and jointly address issues related to prioritization, scoping and timelines
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
  • Deputise for the Project Manager when necessary by representing the workstream in meetings and preparing status reports


Skills/Experience:
  • 7-10 years experience of Business Analysis, Product Owner or hybrid PM/BA roles in Banking context
  • In depth understanding of finance process, accounting and ledger concepts in scope of a Core Banking platform in a corporate banking context
  • Good understanding of corporate banking products and the product life cycle , treasury, liquidities, payments and receivables
  • Exposure to AML rules, basic compliance and risk protocols required by a financial institution
  • Experience with one core banking platform such as Flexcube, Temenos, Finastra, FIS etc is a must
  • 5+ years experience of using JIRA, Confluence
  • 5+ years experience of using Agile practices while working in large scale banking transformation programs with geographically distributed teams
  • Should have excellent inter-personal skills to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) issues in a clear and timely manner to build trusting partnership with a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders
  • 3+ years experience in leading team of business analysts, functional architects
