The Role:

We are currently looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Accounting team. Responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure an efficient, accurate & timely Financial & Management Accounting function. Primarily responsible for supporting the Wasserman EMEA Talent divisions. Assisting the financial close and reporting process, including the month and year end management and statutory reporting, Consistently deliver a high level of service to the Wasserman business.

Responsibilities:

Month End Close

  • Support the management accountant and wider talent team to deliver month end reporting on a timely and accurate basis
  • Prepare key reporting schedules for Talent departments, ensuring accounts are reconciled and correctly presented:
    • Preparation of departmental P&Ls and associated supporting schedules
    • Posting payroll, accrual and reclass journals
    • Prepare and maintain accurately reconciled revenue schedules
    • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly commission statements
  • Prepare key management information packs for heads of department
  • Support the monthly reforecast process, ensuring inputs are aligned with accurate and up to date information
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and deliver key business and management information on a timely basis

Budget & Analysis
  • Preparation of annual budget schedules
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and schedules to support budget assumptions and inputs

Control & Compliance
  • Prepare contract and future billings schedules for completeness and accuracy
  • Approve customer, supplier and invoices processed through the system and liaise with accounting team to ensure correct information inputs
  • Support on the collections process

Other
  • Assist and support on the year-end financial and other audits, preparing, maintaining and explaining supporting schedules and processes
  • Continuous process improvement, ensuring the system is fully optimised to make processes as efficient as possible
  • Team/project support for business initiatives
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required

The above forms the main areas of responsibility for this role, but it is not exhaustive and it should be noted that duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required.

Requirements

Essential:
  • Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel. Ideally Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs.
  • Proactive and results oriented, able to work under own initiative and complete tasks to deadline.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in accounting roles with a minimum of 1+ years studying professional accountancy qualification.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections in a clear and insightful manner to non-finance as well as finance users.
  • Experience working in a multi-national company.

Desirable:
  • Experience using Workday system.
  • Experience working within a finance function of a sports or marketing company.
