Quality Assurance Director (Legal & Tax)

Department: Business Excellence Center

Reports to: Director Business Excellence Center

Job purpose

The Quality Assurance Director (Legal & Tax) is engaged in the overall quality of the provision of services with a specific focus on legal and tax matters. You will be responsible to develop and maintain a legal & tax quality framework and keeping our template toolbox up to date. In addition, you will be providing guidance and sharing knowledge with the Business Excellence Center and client teams resulting in a proper completion of the tax integrity analysis in our client risk assessment. Finally, you will ensure that risk management is incorporated in the operational management of the business, appropriate risk mitigating measures and effective assurance mechanisms are implemented and maintained.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a legal & tax quality framework for TMF Netherlands;
  • Deliver an active contribution to improve the professional legal & tax knowledge of our staff. This includes active involvement with development, improvement and maintenance of procedures, templates, soft and hard copy libraries and other know how resources;
  • Ensure our template toolbox is kept up to date;
  • Provide guidance to the Business Excellence Center and client teams and review the Tax Integrity Section of our Client Risk Assessment form for client acceptance and Mandate review;
  • Lead and influence the development of a positive risk management culture by seeking continuous improvement and efficiencies;
  • Proactively identify, prioritize and interpret operational risks. Manage risks using risk management tools, processes and methods;
  • Responsible for the annual SIRA update for TMF Netherlands;
  • Developing trainings (content-wise), share knowledge and educate stakeholders;
  • Involved in obtaining and the preservation of recognized Certification of Assurance

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in law or Economics or solid relevant professional experience;
  • > 10 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably
  • with a corporate service provider;
  • Up to Date knowledge on legal and tax developments including tax integrity;
  • Good understanding of the management of risk and assurance frameworks;
  • Good stakeholder management skills;
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Preference if you speak Dutch;
  • Experience with MS office and database knowledge

  • to achieve cost effective outcomes.
  • Expected to design control, risk and governance frameworks for immediate business
  • area.
