Your role
The role is within regulatory reporting team based at UBS Business solution center, Pune. The team is currently responsible for ensuring that the UBS London Branch entity meets all the Bank of England (BoE) regulatory reporting requirements.
The wider team is responsible for monitoring the UK regulatory environment for potential legislative changes and addressing the regulatory challenges that the development of new business, new securities/investment products and new markets bring.

We're looking for Regulatory Reporting Specialist to:

- Managing and leading the team: Supervise and support workload & activities of team members
- Assist in preparation and review of existing statistical reporting requirements.
- Assist senior management with the provision and analysis of regulatory information.
- Supervise to ensure that designed control are executed to support the regulatory reports
- Work closely with other areas of Finance to investigate and validate material movements.
- Ensure risks and issues in processes are identified, reported, escalated, and mitigated
- Prepare process descriptions and ensure these are kept up to date on periodic basis
- Day to day involvement in a variety of automation related tasks providing key input on improvement

Your team
The role will be part of regional regulatory reporting team to manage the day to day activities & deliverables of the reporting team. The team is involved with production of monthly & quarterly return submissions to the Bank of England . In addition to this, this role will provide an exposure to broad range of change processes as we look to automate & improve production activities/processes. This process will enable the team to work with visible & high-profile automation team based in London to drive changes at source & gain valuable skills & exposure to senior stakeholders.

Your expertise
- a university degree with a strong understanding of accounting principles preferably qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 8+ years' experience in financial services industry (regulatory reporting/accounting & product control /liquidity/ treasury etc.)
- Good understanding of accounting concept- Regulatory Reporting experience within the financial services industry will be an added advantage
- Practical experience in MS Excel and Axiom skills
- Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills
- Experience of managing a mid-sized team
- Proactive and self-motivated individual who has can-do approach & keen to learn new skills
- Collaborate effectively across teams, regions and business areas
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting strict deadlines and adhering to the required quality standard
