Overview

Following a restructure, the finance team of RPS' Services segment is looking for a junior team member to come on board to provide management accounting and reporting support to our Health and Laboratories businesses.

This position will ideally suit someone currently studying towards AAT or similar, with prior experience in a busy finance department, looking for the next step in their career. You will be a quick learner, able to demonstrate attention to detail, with a proactive and positive approach to work. You will be a team worker, able to communicate effectively and build good working relationships, to contribute to a friendly and supportive team culture.

This is a permanent job opening to be based from our HQ at Milton Park, Abingdon with a hybrid working arrangement of 2 - 3 days in the office available. We are happy to offer study support either for AAT or ACCA/CIMA, as appropriate.

What you'll be doing
Preparing monthly management accounts for the Division's operating unitsPreparing and posting month end journals such as prepayments, accruals and depreciation calculationsWeekly and monthly performance reportingAged debtors, accrued income and lock up analysisOverhead analysisCredit card reconciliationsFixed asset review and register maintenanceStaff entertainment reconciliationsAssistance with other reporting requirementsAd hoc tasks as directed by the manager
Who we're looking for
Good Excel and finance system skills (SUN/SharpOwl experience beneficial)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly motivated and a quick learnerAble to work under pressure and keep to tight month end deadlinesExperience in a busy finance departmentBe underway with gaining AAT or similar qualification
