We are recruiting for an Operations Finance Analyst based at our dairy in Telford, Shropshire. In this role you will be responsible for providing support to the Telford Finance Business Partner in managing the Operations and Supply Chain activity to deliver excellent business support across Operations financial analysis, business planning and regular reporting. You will be a key support in delivering management information to drive business performance improvement across all the key metrics for Operations and Supply Chain. Key Responsibilities of an Operations Finance Analyst:
- Responsible for supporting delivery of month end reporting, preparation of monthly management reports and commentary of key variances.
- Supporting the Telford Finance Business Partner in delivering accurate weekly reporting of Ops and SC KPI's to the Telford plant management team.
- Ensure we have appropriate monthly tracking of actual Operational costs and clear explanation of variances.
- Business Partner the Telford plant cost centre managers to ensure full understanding of the cost base and to identify cost saving opportunities.
- Responsibility for weekly and monthly milk losses and packaging and ingredients losses - Be the expert in financially evaluating losses and causal.
- Support in delivering a robust monthly forecast of Operational Overheads and Cost of Sales.
- Support the Telford Ops Budget process with ownership to fully evaluate product costs and the key cost movements.
- Maintain and develop key relationships with the Telford Operations management team and other business functions including R&D and procurement to deliver a continuous improvement culture.
- Support the design and maintenance of the Balanced Scorecard and other non financial Ops & Supply chain metrics.
- Support the Telford Finance Business Partner to improve both financial and non financial operational processes driving efficient and value adding reporting.
Operations Finance Analyst - Key Skills and Experience:
- Part Qualified ( study package is available)
- Advanced knowledge of excel and analytical skills
- Knowledge of SAP desirable
- Results Focused
- Clear and succinct communicator at all levels. Adapt style to suit audience
- Comfortable challenging in an appropriate manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytical approach with strong problem solving skills
- Key team member, willing to get the job done , accountable and willing to take ownership to ensure delivery.
- Experience of FMCG business desirable
