Job Description
This position is accountable to perform general ledger activities in RTR
Perform general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance & reconciliation of ledger accounts & financial statements
What will your role be?
1. Functional
- Responsible for completeness, accuracy & timeliness of operations in RTR
- Prepare & post journal entries
- In charge of month end close process
- Provide audit support relating to general ledger activities
- Communication with stakeholders to ensure all entries are booked on time and accurately
- Ensure internal controls are complying and avoidance of future errors
- Collaborate with internal team for tracking and solving raised issues
- Support ad hoc queries from stakeholders
2. Balance Sheet reconciliation
- Reconcile & analyse various balance sheet accounts
- Ensure robustness of accounts and investigate and clear differences on a timely basis
- Complete assigned balance sheet accounts in ARCS per established timeline
3. Stakeholders’ relationship
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
- Attend to stakeholders’ enquiries and concerns in a professional manner
4. Process improvements
- Participate in continuous process improvement and identify standardization opportunities
- Participate in UAT testing and update such findings to the management
Your success factors?
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting and/or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- Knowledgeable on RTR processes with hands-on-experience and understanding of financial impact
- Highly proficient in SAP or Oracle knowledge
- Total years of working experiences: Min 3 years in related fields
- Demonstrated success collaborating with management, peer, and stakeholders
- Possess a process-oriented approach with a continual improvement mindset
- Good technical accounting skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and result oriented
- Team player
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure & tight timelines
- Able to articulate clearly in both written & spoken English
