We are looking for an Operational Trainer to design and deliver solutions that support colleague performance and development. Training new starters in our underwriting team, developing our existing approach, and making it the best possible start for new colleagues will be a key piece of work. Because this is a complicated function (underwriting), being able to quickly grasp processes so that you can help others grasp them will be essential.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach new underwriter training. Assisting them in gaining the knowledge and skills they require to do their duties.
  • Continue to support team members by delivering core learning and development interventions, implementing new or updated processes, and designing user-centric, iterative solutions to increase performance utilising problem-solving abilities.
  • Work throughout the company to establish business priorities and opportunities, then create and schedule learning and development outputs that address them.
Experience
  • Excellent facilitation abilities (managing 121 and group discussions, and presenting)
  • A track record of increasing productivity through effective problem-solving
  • Highly organised when it comes to business and projects.
  • A cheerful mindset, a desire to learn, and the ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to adapt to your audience in interactions with learners and other stakeholders
  • Designing interesting resources with imagination (e.g. worksheets, process guides, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile methodology and a background in financial services/underwriting would be advantageous.
