Reporting to the Finance Director International, you will be responsible for providing support to the Oman Senior Management Team from a financial perspective. Using a wide range of approaches, you will work to improve underlying business performance leading to improvements in CSR performance, evaluating broader investment opportunities all whilst ensuring a robust control environment is in place, especially in relation to entity management, tax, treasury and financial control. You will work closely with the wider team to support bids, contract management and identify ways in which we can strengthen our propositions, maximising opportunities and mitigating risk.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your high levels of leadership and business acumen with the ability to change and influence. You will be working alongside teams that will place high value on your financial input. The role is to include opportunities to travel to Oman, working with the in-country teams to shape and develop commercial opportunities and solutions across the full life cycle.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Finance Manager will involve:- Supporting the delivery of all internal and external targets (financial and non-financial) for the Oman Programme. This includes:
- Supporting the delivery of all internal and external programme requirements and assessing/shaping the financial impact of business decisions
- Engaging cross functionally, and with Project Managers and Budget Holders, to drive business improvements that deliver positive financial outcomes
- Supporting the business in the quarterly contract review process and providing finance leadership to the process including challenge of estimates and involvement in risk & opportunity management process culminating in the QCR process
- Providing business partner support and management information to CAMs/ budget holders and non-finance functions including:
- Provision of financial information to the project teams to facilitate decision making
- Supporting and partnering with the business as appropriate in ensuring all financial and operational targets are achieved
- Driving process improvements, with particular focus on accuracy of cash forecasting and delivery of cost opportunities
- Financial modelling and business acumen to new business activity to enable approval of pricing proposals and delivery of the Oman business strategy
- Focusing on maintaining and improving financial controls across the Oman team ensuring all financial procedures and controls are applied as required and supporting non finance functions on their application with a particular focus on the various entities in Oman, in country office in Muscat and ensuring financial awareness is improved across the team. This role would also provide financial leadership to any internal or external audit activity
- Leading the finance support to the Oman Project Director in business improvement both within the programme and reaching back and influencing the broader CAM population. This includes ensuring provision of finance support in identifying business benefits challenging activities that do not have a sufficient return either financially or non-finance terms, tracking and embedding those challenges in EAC returns
- Supporting the Oman Senior Management team to identify and deliver new business opportunities in the region - working cross functionally to deliver value for money proposals that deliver positive outcomes for both the customer and the business and help the Oman programme to deliver (and better) their business plan.

You will be an inspiring and motivational leader who supports other team members to deliver and perform to the very best of their ability. You will be an excellent communicator who can adapt communications, verbal and written, to suit a variety of different audiences, establishing and maintaining effective networks with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Using your influencing and negotiating skills, you will identify when there is a need to challenge in order to deliver positive business and financial outcomes. You will take lead any finance requirements or activities for the Oman Organisation on behalf of the Oman Vice President and Delivery Director and therefore must be able to demonstrate an ability to distil complex issues, opportunities and challenges in a succinct and compelling narrative. Applying a collaborative and consultive approach to all communications you will work with both Europe and International and the wider Air Business to achieve shared objectives.
