Accountant

JOB SUMMARY
PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited, is looking for a dynamic individual to accept the role of Accountant within the Finance department.
The successful candidate will be required to lead and manage a team of accounting personnel in the Finance department and be responsible for financial reporting and control.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver service excellence daily in keeping with the company's Customer Service Philosophy and standards
* Manage and lead a team of accounting personnel to deliver the Department's objectives pertaining to general accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets, rental assets and inventory
* Production of financial reports accurately and on time
* Ensure delivery of the Department's services to its customers in conformity with established standards, policies and business practices
* Keep current with accounting standards
* Be the financial resource on various project, business development and other cross-functional teams
* Coach team members
Requirements
* ACCA qualification
* In-depth working knowledge of accounting systems
* Minimum of four years' experience in an operational accounting environment two of which should have included the preparation of final accounts
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Accounting Information System
* Leadership skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
* Excellent planning, organising and time management skills
* Ability to coordinate, delegate, motivate and mentor
* Negotiation, conflict resolution and team building skills
