We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated and focused Statutory Accountant to join our forward-thinking business.

Reporting directly to the Statutory Accounting Manager, you will take on responsibility for the preparation of statutory accounts, board reporting and technical accounting papers.

The team are responsible for preparing the statutory accounts for numerous legal entities within the UK Group structure.

The team will work with all areas of the business to ensure delivery of accurate statutory accounts whilst gaining an understanding of the core processes. 

This role will provide an opportunity for personal and professional development.

Your Role:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Work closely with external auditors 
  • Earn out calculations
  • Technical accounting papers
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Review reconciliations of Balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts
  • Ad-hoc projects (such as liquidation/dissolution of entities, assisting with acquisitions)
  • Preparation of board reporting
  • FCA regulatory reporting
  • Impairment calculations

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant ACCA/CA with 2 years post qualification experience
  • Working or previously worked for a large accounting/audit firm is highly desirable
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Comfortable working within a demanding environment with strict deadlines
  • Must be organised and proactive
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
