Finance Manager

Success Recruit are currently working with a construction company looking to recruit a Finance Manager due to expansion and continued growth for 2022 based in South Essex.
The successful Finance Manager will be expected to:
• Have confidence leading a growing business and the finance function, alongside a board of directors
• Excellent working knowledge of Sage & Excel
• High attention to detail & the ability to streamline processes and recommend improvements

Job Description
The objective of this role is to support and assist with the structure of the finance team and ensure the business can support with growth whilst reviewing processes and recommending improvements to work more efficiently with cost and time. This position is handing over from one of the directors who will be refocusing on operations and HR management.
Duties to include but not limited to:

• Attending board meetings with directors and providing up to date reporting across two businesses
• Update financial spreadsheets, forecast and project finances
• Delegating and ensuring two other finance team members are achieving in position, reviewing work, and supporting with their personal development
• Prepare and pay supplier invoices

• Track Proforma payments and reconcile invoices
• Track and reconcile bank statements / Credit cards/ fuel cards
• Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs). /Monitor& report on Direct debit costs
• Process VAT / Year end / CIS returns and payments.
• Support monthly payroll for the outsourced payroll company
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Be the expert in sage within the business, training others and working closely with external accountant
• Provide detailed reports to company divisions. P&Ls / cost relevant to departments as and when required.
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits

The successful Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring all processes, systems and staff within the department are achieving maximum potential for the business to operate and achieve maximum profit. Hours:
Monday - Friday 08.30am - 4.30pm
Salary:
Circa £40k dependant on experience
