This role is a great opportunity to work for a Key Government regulator as a Junior Procurement Business Partner on a permanent basis. This role is open to individuals from both public and private sector, ideally looking to enhance their procurement knowledge and work for established organisation.
This is a hybrid working role, with great flexibility (35 hour working week) and a main office based in Brighton. The expectation is no more than 1 or 2 days the office with great benefits such as 26% employee contribution to pension, 25 days holiday and discretionary bonuses.
This role is offering a salary between £30,000 - £40,000 and can offer at the top of the banding. CIPS level 4 qualification would be beneficial for application but the organisation are also willing to sponsor the qualification for interested individuals. Job Specification
  • We're looking for someone to deliver best practice commercial services and solutions. They will be required to support on procurements and the delivery of robust, value for money contracts.
  • Working with a basic level of autonomy and proactively, with guidance and oversight from more senior colleagues. Make actions count by prioritising and planning effectively.
  • Scope, prioritise and plan all procurement activities required to meet business outcomes - beginning to identify outputs, dependencies, resource estimates, stakeholders, risks and timescales with support from more senior colleagues
  • Supporting budget holders and stakeholders in achieving best value from the public purse by ensuring transparent and open competitions are run in line with EU and UK procurement legislation, seeking support from more senior colleagues as required
  • Supporting the award of compliant robust contracts with measurable deliverables
  • Ensure business area complies with TPR, DWP and Cabinet Office governance policies and all relevant spending controls
  • Ensure any contractual issues/disputes escalated to procurement are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support in ensuring contracts adhere to all relevant data protections requirements and transparency requirements
  • Create accurate and timely management information and annual procurement plans to inform key strategic decision making
  • Support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives relating to process and policy
