The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will have a pivot role within the team. Working alongside the Client Manager, you are responsible for delivering complex tax and compliance related duties across a broad client portfolio. Your core duties will involve:
- Preparing tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements
- Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits
- Liaise with the ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients
- Drafting initial tax advice and reports
- Taxation planning
- Conducting research and assisting with tax advice
- Review of Junior Accountants work
- Engaging with clients and maintaining strong relationships
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business
- CPA and CA qualified (or part-qualified)
- Experience with taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions & superannuation
- Previous accounting experience within a public practice
- Stakeholder management experience
- Xero, MYOB and Excel skills
