Job Description

The candidate will be a senior member of the Regional Treasury team based in Singapore. The candidate will lead a small team, and interact with multiple parties on a frequent basis, including other Treasury functions/ pillars and Finance teams, Alibaba Group Treasury, Business teams, Finance Tech team, Project Management teams as well as various external partners.

Reporting
The candidate will report into Regional Head of Treasury based in Singapore.

Key tasks and responsibilities
• Provide guidance and oversight to Country Treasury teams to ensure compliance with Regional Treasury guidelines and to align with the strategy of Alibaba Group Treasury
• Drive implementation of Regional Treasury initiatives with all countries, including banking solutions to improve Treasury operations, innovative solutions to deliver Treasury value, or adopt best practices to improve efficiencies and control postures
• Lead discussions with internal teams on various projects to support Lazada Group's fast growing business in SEA countries; Act as key focal to internal stakeholders (including Country CFO) to support the business and to drive value from Treasury perspectives
• Maintain positive working relationships and negotiate terms with banks, payment gateways, cross-border payments platforms
• Negotiate credit facilities to support financing needs and other treasury operational requirements including bank guarantee and letter of credit
• Responsible for managing investments to maximise returns
• Supervise FX conversion across all group entities and manage FX risk exposure
• Provide treasury support to M&A projects
• Keep up-to-date regulatory changes in the region/local countries that could improve treasury operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's degree or CPA/CA/CFA Charter Holder is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Finance-related fields including at least 5 years of experience in Corporate Treasury in multi-national company
• Solid understanding of cash management practices and payment landscapes (particularly for ASEAN region), back office activities, Treasury systems, policies and procedures for a global organization
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of Management; demonstrated ability to lead a small team
• Results and detail-oriented, team player, strong project management and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical skills with structured thinking capabilities
• Ability to excel in a fast paced, highly analytical environment where multi-tasking and short timelines are met with consistent ability to achieve financial accuracy
