Job description:

Key responsibilities in that role will be:


STRATEGY, PLANNING, APPRAISAL AND REPORTING:
    Understand the link between own role, other roles within the R&A area, onshore business organization and the business strategy Prepare input to the financial performance assessment process (from Asset level up to Country level) Responsible for correct, reliable and meaningful analysis of financial data to enable value adding MI and understanding of key cost drivers impact, reasonable variance analysis and interventions Responsible for Cost Allocation Management (establish business need, create and maintain allocation set up with support from Controllers) Support Business Analysts in preparation and collection of data for Business Performance review, cost cycle/review meetings Supports the Reporting team with detailed variance analysis for Group reporting/MI reporting
MONTH-END CLOSE AND REPORTING ACTIVITIES
    Control operations Accrual Analysis/posting, WBS Releases, pre-payments, Time Writing Analysis and follow up, Cost Allocations, Check, review and mitigation of unallocated balances Project reporting, preparation of MI packs for Business Performance & Reporting and onshore organizations

Requirements:

Key competences for the candidates are:
University degree in Financial and Accounting, working towards financial qualifications (ACCA/CIMA) desirable, 4+ years' experience in finance and accounting processes, first exposure to controlling and performance management would be a significant asset

  • Good grasp of spoken and written business English with good knowledge of finance terminology
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Business partnering and influencing skills
  • Strong communication skills and capability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders and business partners
  • Strong Continuous Improvement mindset - expected to challenge the status quo, identify opportunities for optimization, streamlining processes and achieving greater organizational efficiency
  • Commercial mindset
  • Ability to work virtually with stakeholders in different locations having different seniority levels
  • Strong excel skills and knowledge of ERP systems, SAP knowledge would be a significant asset
  • Understanding Upstream business key terms nice to have
  • Inquisitive self-starter, keen to acquire knowledge and expertise, demonstrating ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to work in fast changing and evolving business environment
