The new organisational strategy of the Health Board is CTM2030 - Our Health, Our Future. Our strategy aims to set out how we develop the services that we provide to meet the needs of our population as we look to 2030 and beyond, and how we can work with our communities to ensure that local people can live happier and healthier lives for as long as possible.

As a Finance professional keen to make a difference, you will be an integral part of delivering that strategy by partnering with one of our Service Groups and providing high quality financial advice, support and direction to managers, clinical and scientific staff.

To deliver the Health Boards strategy, we are currently entering a re-structuring process. The current vacancies we're looking to fill are spread across 3 finance teams and cover Acute Services as well as Corporate functions. The successful candidates could work across any of the services covering the Health Board's boundary from Bridgend in the South-West to Merthyr Cynon in the North-East.

Main duties of the job  

• Covering all aspects of financial performance to ensure effective financial management for the Service Group
• Working with clinical and management teams to deliver value for money; service change; support production of robust business cases and develop financial plans in accordance with the Health Board's annual planning process

• CCAB/CIMA Qualified

Experience

• Management Accounts Experience

Desirable

• NHS Experience or Public Sector Finance Experience Business Partnering experience in any industry

Skills

• Use of Microsoft packages Advanced excel skills

Desirable

• Evidence of influencing multiple stakeholders Experience of financial modelling Evidence of supporting delivery of savings and efficiencies

Knowledge

Essential

• Computerised Financial management Systems

Desirable

• Knowledge of Oracle Financial System
