Job Summary

A reputable Bank located in the Eastern Region of Ghana seeks to employ a suitable applicantto fill the position of Head Audit & Investigations.The purpose of this appointment is to carry out internal control programs and support theBank's unit and inform management of the extent to which operational controls are in placeand being implemented under the direction of the internal control unit and ensure effectivenessof the Bank's systems of Internal Controls.

  • Job Description/Requirements

    Responsibilities:
  • Preparing the annual audit plan and ensuring implementation of same.
  • Conducting monthly audit to ensure that the internal control systems in place are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Preparation and submission of audit monthly report to the chairman of audit and finance committee and copy to the General Manager
  • Conducting investigation as may be directed by the board and management and issuing report thereon.
  • Follow ups on all external auditors or regulatory reports and recommendations arising therefrom.
  • Conducting risk and risk assessment by assigning risk impact to all auditable areas.
  • Examining and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank's system of internal controls.
  • Executing internal audit charter.
  • Supervision the work of the compliance officer and reconciliation officer.
  • Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee.

  • Required Skills or Experience:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University in Accounting, Finance, Banking, and Finance or any related field.
  • Relevant Professional Certificate from a recognized Institute i.e. CIA, ACCA, ICA will be and added advantage
  • Must be very knowledgeable in T24 Temenos software.
  • Must have relevant working experience with 5-7 years of proven banking experience in a Rural/Community Bank.
