Job Description
Key role in group finance function, supported by teams in the UK and India.
Responsible for leading the Reporting team to produce:
Statutory reporting and audit
Tax packs
VAT
Balance sheet reporting
Monthly consolidation.
Critical support for:
Balance sheet reviews
Monthly reporting
Monthly KPI's
Ad hoc reports for stakeholders
Statutory reporting and audit
Preparation of UK and Ireland entity financial statements
Preparation of group consolidated financial statements
Key contact with auditors and co-ordinator of the group audit process
Preparation of reconciliations between management and statutory accounts
Compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards
Taxation:
Prepare tax packs for annual CT compliance cycle
Review VAT/Sales tax returns: UK, Ireland, Australia & NZ.
Support process for other statutory return submissions
Group Controls and reporting:
Preparation / review of the group consolidated balance sheet monthly
Review of inter-company reconciliation & elimination of group balances
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for group account codes
Ad hoc reporting for a range of stake-holders
Other / Ad Hoc projects
Work closely with the other finance teams in UK and offshore to lead/participate in assigned projects
Continuous improvement of internal controls and internal external reporting
Support and financial reporting of business combinations
Qualifications
Qualified ACA or ACCA
Experience of consolidation / group reporting
Knowledge of corporation taxes and VAT
Understanding of current IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards and impact on statutory and internal reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - with colleagues of all levels and backgrounds
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
SAP experience preferred
Ability to work as part of a team
