As we embark on the next stage of our ambitious growth plan, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based at our Head Office in Preston.

About the role

The Financial Accountant will work in a team responsible for statutory reporting, management reporting, financial governance, policy-setting, and process improvement within the finance business functions.

Your key responsibilities will require you to:

• Support the team during the year-end audit, including liaising directly with external auditors
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial reports including notes preparation, consolidation and disclosure requirements
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports including appropriate commentary and analysis to enable stakeholders to make timely and informed decisions
• Undertake period-end accounting and reporting for a number of entities within the Group, including General Ledger maintenance, management reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain the Group's Accounting Policy framework to help ensure consistent application of accounting requirements
• Provide support in the implementation of best practice financial internal controls, policies and processes to enable an accurate and efficient financial reporting function

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a driven finance professional with 4+ years' experience, an eye for detail and a passion for teamwork. More specifically, we are looking for candidates that have

• A Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Account qualification
• Big 4/mid-tier audit experience
• The ability to adhere to strict timelines and adapt in an agile environment
