Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role is expected to develop quickly alongside company growth plans. Recruiting, training and retaining a small team will also be an integral part of the role.

The company is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individual to make a significant contribution to the continued growth and success of the company. The role of Finance Manager is a key position within the growth of this finance function.
The client is open to candidates are qualified, part qualfied or qualified by experience - the right person (not qualification) is key.
Operating within the Finance Team, the Finance Manager ("FM") will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company to ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records. The FM will also ensure that the Finance Team operates a robust control environment to effectively manage financial risk.
  • Supervision, mentoring and development of Finance Assistants.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported.
  • General ledger, sales ledger and purchase ledger postings, reconciliation and control including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
  • Manage the preparation and posting of month-end journals e.g., accruals, prepayments, and payroll.
  • Ensure that all balance sheet and control accounts are reconciled including a review of accruals and prepayments.
  • Ensure income is accurately recorded by the Company's pre-wholesaler and allocated to the respective revenue streams.
  • Proactively manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal systems and reports to ensure that cash shortfalls are identified.
  • Foreign exchange hedging and management.
  • Preparation of payments within the Company's corporate banking and digital payment systems.
  • Preparation of monthly client sales and inventory reconciliation reports.
  • Production of quarterly VAT Returns including postponed VAT on imports.
  • Preparation of quarterly Import Valuation Returns.
  • Provide accurate and timely information for management accounts.
  • Work with the Financial Controller and Financial Operations, Planning & Analytics Manager to ensure the integrity of the financial data supplied by the Finance team to Senior Management as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of external financial audit packs.
  • R&D tax credit claim tracking and preparation.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Management of the Company's finance and liquidity management facilities.
  • Ensure that financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively.
