As a (Senior) Manager in the Financial Services Industry (FSI), you will be co-leading a dynamic team that draws together specialist knowledge and Financial Services Industry experience. As a team with various competencies we implement new sector regulation and help our clients cope with the many challenges their industry faces. We focus in first instance on matters related to internal controls and procedures within the Banking industry, while taking into account operational, strategic, risk and regulatory challenges and requirements that these institutions are exposed to today.
This includes areas within different departments at institutions such as Finance, Risk, Internal Audit, and Permanent Control, back and middle-offices. We support our clients on (financial) closing & reporting processes, data processes, capital requirements (CRD), prudential reporting flows (FINREP, COREP), capital management and ALM processes, sustainable finance, designing and implementing control environment on complex transactions and new products.
With an understanding of the challenges the industry faces, you will:
- Lead and further develop a number of service offerings towards the industry
- Function as operational contact person for a number of clients and projects
- Advise and support our clients in improving their operations on multiple aspects and from different angles
- Guide our clients in developing and implementing new internal control processes in line with their business strategy
- Lead projects towards our clients in implementing procedures, processes, infrastructure and governance to efficiently comply with regulation, financial standards and business needs
- Provide our clients with answers to tackle the challenges they face in complying with expectations from stakeholders such as regulators, external auditors, and internal audit
- Take up responsibility in leading and training our FSI team members by serving as a career counsellor, training junior and senior consultants and providing timely and specific performance feedback
- Interact with the other business units within Deloitte Belgium and the international network that focuses on FSI
Let’s talk about you
- Master degree in economics, commercial engineering or have an equivalent qualification
- Relevant working experience of at least 3 years in the Financial Services Industry or worked as a consultant in the sector
- At least 5-10 years working experience in total
- Taken up a managerial role in your previous working experience
- Passionate about leading a team of young professionals
- Ambitious and dedicated to serve our clients
- Critical, creative and analytical mindset
- Client and result oriented and excellent social, communication and presentation skills
- Like interacting with a broad scale of FSI specialists within our Deloitte national and international network
- Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French (both spoken and written)
- Eager to learn and apply new technology skills
