Job summary
The Amazon Private Brands Finance organization seeks a Commercial finance business partner in Luxembourg to partner with and provide strategic business partnership to the EU (and WW) Hardlines Private Brand teams. It's Day 1 at Amazon and this position provides an individual the unique and exciting opportunity to work on complex problems in a high profile role while being the commercial partner to one of the fastest growing businesses in Europe.

You will work closely with business partners, stakeholders, and other finance teams across consumer, operations, transportation, supply chain, and technology teams to develop operational plans, identify strategic financial opportunities, and drive automation. The successful candidate is a person who enjoys operating in a dynamic, fast changing environment. You are able to process complex and, at times, ambiguous data, identifying and addressing key risks and helping Private Brands to develop efficient customer centric solutions.

Primary responsibilities include:
* Business partnership with EU Hardlines Private Brands leadership on strategic initiatives and critical organizational goals
* Ownership of all financial planning processes, including operational performance metrics
* Owner of financial business case for new product launches and partnering with the team to identify strategic opportunities
* Leading other team members in providing analysis against previous periods, identifying risks and opportunities, and effectively communicating results to senior leadership in order to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions; ensuring that timely and accurate metrics are created and maintained
* Driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of best practices and automation initiatives
* Financial controllership of the business, including ensuring data integrity

Basic Qualifications:
*BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar discipline with analytical bias
* 7+ years of experience in a large corporate finance environment or related analytical experience
* Ability to communicate well - both written and verbal, concisely summarize relevant data and convey results by effectively articulating complex messages
* A self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment and demonstrates financial acumen and experience delivering quantitative analyses
* Previous experience successfully managing high performing teams
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
* Advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
* MBA, Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* Experience and familiarity with SQL, Cognos (TM1), or similar tools
* Retail or e-commerce experience
* Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in a business partnering role
