Talent International is searching for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client, one of Queensland's leading health care providers. This role is based in Brisbane CBD on a 12-month contract.

Purpose

This role would be responsible for performing end to end business analysis, bringing in strong agile requirements management, technical analysis, and design capabilities to the team. This role will also mentor & guide other team members relevant to business analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the development and analysis of process diagrams in accordance with Business Process Management Notation (BPMN)
  • Providing business process analysis support to projects through Business Impact Assessments
  • Provide expert business analyst advice and input to the development of project artefacts including but not limited to functional requirements, statement of work, test scenarios and benefits management collateral
  • Accountable with an owner mentality of work. Attend key stakeholders' meetings and give regular feedback about progress of work to ensure all projects are completed in line with agreed schedules.
  • Able to use positive intent to share new ideas and challenge assumptions backed by logic even when others may have a different viewpoint
  • Curious & Critical Thinker - able to identify gaps by asking questions and connecting the dots end-to-end
  • Collaborative - working across different ministries and regional teams in Central and North Queensland to drive success
  • Adhere with formalised business analysis techniques to ensure best practice is achieved.
  • Self-aware and Trustworthy - establishes strong rapport and trust across teams, knows how to take feedback and learn
  • Ability to apply exceptional analysis skills to understand highly complex business processes to then identify and understand key problems, and to deliver solutions quickly and adaptively.
  • Analyse and document solution design requirements including non-functional, interface and data requirements and undertake requirements lifecycle management activities aligned with Business Analysis capability standards and expectations and ensuring consistency of outcomes.
  • Act as the technical requirements owner for agreed projects, representing the requirement intent, and ensuring that relevant project deliverables trace to and align with the business requirements.
Qualifications

Essential
  • Demonstrated ability in delivery of solutions through agile iteration/sprint cycles
  • Advanced knowledge of BPMN software and drawing tools e.g. MS Visio
  • Demonstrate experience in and exposure to project management activities including project management methodologies and practices, preferably applying the PRINCE2 and Agile project management methodologies
  • Certified Business Analyst
  • Business analysis experience (e.g. 5 years+) on a diverse range of projects e.g. business transformation, application development, process re-design
Desirable
  • Previous experience working within Healthcare
  • Azure and Cloud Platforms experience highly regarded
  • Agile experience
Technical Competencies
  • Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
  • Experience undertaking Technical / System Analysis, with a strong focus on eliciting Non-functional requirements, identifying, and clarifying interface/data requirements and conducting break/fix analysis.
  • Experience analysing and designing operational business processes.
  • Experience in managing requirements through their lifecycle (e.g., elicitation, traceability, prioritisation, communicating requirement intent, assessing change requests, supporting defect triage, and identifying requirements gaps
