This is an exciting new Purchase Ledger Manager position which will focus on managing the accounts payable function and one accounts payable clerk. This role offers the opportunity to join at a turning-point in the business where more and more companies are in need of training spaces and the accounts payable team will look to grow exponentially to cope.

Client Details

My client provide businesses with bespoke venues to conduct their training, whilst providing all logistics, such as food and technology to ensure the best training experience. My client operate nearly 500,000 square feet of space through 17 venues across London, Birmingham, Manchester and New York. In 2019, my client hosted 19,000 events attended by 965,000 delegates. Those numbers make my client a leader in urban day conferencing. In fact, in Central London, they are bigger than both Marriott and Hilton with 278 rooms. Following the pandemic they are back to full function and need a Purchase Ledger Manager to support their busy finance team.

Description

As the Purchase Ledger Manager your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing the current Accounts Payable Assistant
  • Monitor and control accurate processing and coding of Opex and Capex costs in line with company policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deal with stakeholder queries and resolve complaints
  • Review and process month end BACS run and ad-hoc payments
  • Manage the Purchase Ledger month end close
  • Produce aged creditor and payment practices
  • Assist with P&L variance analysis against the budget

Profile

As the Purchase Ledger Manager you will have:

  • Previous relevant experience in Accounts Payable or as Manager
  • Experience using Unit4 is highly desirable
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
