Assistant Manager – Loan Fund

Closing Date: 30 May 2022
Issue Date: 19 May 2022
Position Ref: MF 885
Location: Edinburgh. Office or blended working (home & Edinburgh office)

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Service Delivery team, to manage the loan books for schemes we operate on behalf of Scottish Government and Transport Scotland.

What you’ll do

You will work closely with the Programme Finance Manager and Collections Manager to ensure the finance systems are maintained accurately and to investigate and resolve anomalies found.

You will provide effective and efficient management and administration of the loan books, including the forecast of repayments and default reporting. This will involve reconciling loan repayments into relevant loan books, calculating and recording any administration fees or interest due, preparing loan repayment schedules, statements and producing complex reports.

What you’ll bring

You will have excellent attention to detail and contribute to continuous improvement.

Your ability to plan and prioritise work is essential in this busy environment, along with demonstrated effective communication skills enabling you to deliver a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders. Overall financial management skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Excel, will underpin the successful delivery of this role. Line management experience is preferable.

This is a permanent position. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (home and office-based) working is possible for this role.

Energy Saving Trust offers a range of benefits to all employees such as flexible working, an employee assistance programme, and a wellbeing allowance.  Please see our careers page for more info.
