Our client are a successful and rapidly growing recruitment specialist headquartered in London and also operate in the US & Asia across their group. To support the growth of the business, this newly created Assistant Accountant role will be responsible for helping produce the month-end accounts including journal prep & reconciliations.
You will be supporting an experienced Management Accounts team and a Financial Controller who will provide constant mentoring as you continue your professional qualifications.
This role will be based in the office 5 days per week!
Key responsibilities with include but not limited to:
· Assisting with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts on a monthly basis
· Variance and Trend Analysis
· Balance sheet reconciliations
· Bank Reconciliations
· GP / Margin Reconciliation on a weekly basis
· Posting Journals - Prepayments and accruals
· VAT returns
· Profit and loss and margin analysis
· Aged debtor analysis
· Assisting with annual audit
Desired experience:
· Graduate in a finance / accounting focused degree
· Actively studying towards professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
· Intermediate excel knowledge
· Good systems/ IT knowledge
