We have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Finance Business Partner to join the Kingfisher Group Tech Finance team in Southampton. In the role you will act as a key business partner to members of the Group Tech Leadership team and their respective teams by leading the day-to-day finance activities of the finance team and interpreting and presenting financial information to key partners, providing value add advice & challenge. We’re looking for someone to help us raise the standards across all financial decision areas by taking a forward-looking commercial and value focused approach to assist in the optimisation of financial outcomes whilst integrating themselves into the heart of their business teams.

 

Key responsibilities in the role:

 

  • Be a trusted business partner to the Group Tech Leadership team and retail banners (B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama, Brico Depot) Understand the drivers of the IT cost base to allow early visibility of spend variances Understand any gaps to deliver required financial targets Provide commercial and cost challenge to the business Make Group Tech costs visible and transparent in a clear ‘non-financial’ manner to identify actions to drive opportunities and mitigate risks Prepare business cases for Group Tech projects, linking these through to budgets and forecasts as well as post investment reviews

Skills & experience required to deliver in this role:

 

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA Significant finance business partnering experience – ideally within an IT function Commercial finance experience Strong ability to interpret financial information and deploy it effectively across the business driving efficiencies and improvements across teams Comfortable forming relationships and challenging were appropriate
