We are seeking a part qualified financial accountant to join our finance team in Chipping Sodbury, near Bristol.
Supporting the senior financial accountant, you will deliver a timely and reliable service in the preparation of statutory accounts as well as provide responses to auditor queries and actions relating to internal controls and VAT returns.
Applicants will be expected to provide accurate reporting and analysis via the Comet accounting system and will be responsible for co-ordinating balance sheet reconciliations and managing defined sections of the balance sheet log, plus completing full reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. The role also includes working with members of the Shared Service Centre to close internal control actions.
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills and proven ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team. With technical accounting knowledge and strong attention to detail, you will also have previous experience working in an accounting environment and using complex accounting systems.
