Accounts Payable Lead Specialist

We’re involved in seamlessly processing invoices and expense reports for approval, matching reports to verify proper payment, as well as researching any unpaid or incorrectly paid invoices. We also create and maintain a host of records, not to mention, control reports along the way.

What you’ll achieve

As an Accounts Payable Lead Specialist, you will be responsible for driving and implementing cross function project including meeting discussion, business requirement review, system demo and business communication. You will work with finance team and suppliers on Accounts Payable related cases.

You will:

  • Support timely and accurate payment to vendors, customers and team members. Perform invoice discrepancy resolution and drive root cause analysis to reduce invoice discrepancies and inquiries
  • Drive self-serve strategy and support Level 2 inquiries within the stipulated SLA. Support timely and accurate withholding tax filing and other tax compliance tasks
  • Track and analyze KPI performance and collaborate with stakeholders on process improvement actions to deliver on key AP metrics and goals.
  • Supports audits and SOX compliance
  • Assists with system integration and testing and work with IT and AP business in system post go live stabilization.
  • Recommends and lead for process improvements implementation
  • Prepares reports, analysis and presentations on AP and provides regular updates to Management on the project status. Develop training material/Standard Operating Procedure and conduct training to business

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent experience on related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting, preferably in the high tech/IT industry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated by a fast-paced environment, possessing the ability to manage multiple tasks and switch gears while maintaining priorities;
  • A fast learner with strong analytical skills and able to make a well-reasoned decision

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable will be preferred.
  • Knowledge in ARIBA, Oracle and SAP will be an added advantage
