Accountant

As an Accountant supporting the Head of Finance by managing one to two sites with the accounting and reporting, predominately focusing of revenue. You'll working closely with Key stakeholders to ensure all revenue is billed correctly and in line with contractual agreements with each customers. You will also be involved in the accounting finances for the sites.

Description

As a Accountant you would be involved in:

• Management and development of Assistant Accountant
• Lead and guide the Assistant Accountant and Account Handlers to ensure a timely and smooth month end Revenue process
• Work with the Head of Finance to improve systems and processes and provide support with any changes
• Reconciliation of the accrued/deferred revenue account and other revenue related balance sheets providing analysis and commentary on a monthly basis
• Monthly Revenue reporting pack distributed to Head of Finance - (Revenue, margin, under/over service)
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support the year end and audit processes
• Understand all new client contracts and the deliverables to support Revenue recognition
• Adhere to Revenue Recognition policy, highlighting any discrepancies to Head of Finance for direction.
• Support with training of new starters on the end to end job management process
• Provide monthly revenue/income re-forecasting and budgeting within the job management and forecasting system
• Review and approve as appropriate all draft invoices for booking to the ledgers to ensure they comply with contract, documenting any variances on the job in Workbook
• Ensure there are price quotes for all jobs, highlighting any areas of non-compliance to Head of Finance
• Ensure a relevant Rate Card is in Workbook for new clients
• Ensure Rate Cards provided by Head of Finance are updated on a quarterly basis,
• Supporting on insights with relation to pipeline management
• Other ad-hoc revenue and margin analysis as and when required

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Experience of management and financial accounting and reporting

• Experience of working in a busy environment, providing accounting/reporting services to tight deadlines

• Worked independently to prepare monthly reports and analysis

• Competent using ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP

Job Offer

• Receive £35,000 -£40,000 Per annum
