What we are looking for?

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will need to have strong technical knowledge when it comes to data analysis, preparing financial statements, complying with international accounting standards, all whilst solving the complex problems that might arise along the way.

We are a successful group of companies in the iGaming sector, and we are looking to hire an Accountant that will have the ability to also take on some extra "Financial Manager" duties for some group members.

You will be responsible for a broad range of activities to guarantee that our financial operations comply with international accounting standards and best practices for corporate governance. In addition, you will play a key role in enhancing data accuracy and timeliness, business analysis and on-going improvement, day-to-day financial accounting, internal control maintenance, and identifying growth opportunities whilst managing financial and business risks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Accounting: Managing efficiently the day-to-day and month-end record keeping and financial transactions and preparing the financial statements and reconciliations of the company and ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
  • Accounts Payable: Execute the payments and cost tracking as well as the optimization.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Providing insight to guide strategic decision making and the operational future, taking ownership of key financial processes such as business plans, budgeting, modeling tools and reporting.
  • Commercial Acumen: Supporting the Partners and participating in commercial negotiations and contractual discussions with clients and affinity/trusted suppliers and partners.
  • Operating Territories: Support strategic and tactical financial requirements across all operating jurisdictions (we are operating in Europe, North America too)
  • Audit: Work closely with our compliance team and external auditors to ensure that common objectives are well observed.


Requirements

You will have (Essential skills):• Good communication skills.
• Advanced MS Excel (VBA included) and financial/accounting knowledges.
• Hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting tasks, general ledger maintenance
• Experienced in working with Fx Currencies transactions, and financial statement consolidation
• Experienced in policy drafting for financial and accounting procedures and processes.
• Database and tools knowledge i.e., SQL, Trevor, Mixpanel
• iGaming and Crypto knowledge
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance
• Proficient with Google suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Intercom

It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):• CA/CPA Qualified
• Knowledge about Canada tax regulations would be a plus
• Experience of Soft Ledger would be favored
• Knowledge of Sports and/or Casino terminology.
• Responsible Gaming experience.
