As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:
  • Lead the team in the preparation of strategic plan, annual budget and quarterly forecasts and analysis.
  • Serve as business partner to operations team and work cross functionally with various departments and proactively provide business insights and recommendations to drive business performance and operating efficiency.
  • Perform financial modelling for decision making purposes, and assist with the writing and review of investment papers and internal approval notes for the Board of Directors' approval.
  • Participate and support in the automation of reporting/forecasting process, enhancement of business processes/workflows and other ad hoc FP&A finance-related initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing in-depth market and competitor benchmarking analysis and establish and maintain database of retail performance indicator benchmarks and regional macro-economic data.
  • Review and support the respective FP&A team heads in scenario analysis and evaluation of ad hoc pricing strategy, investment and operational rationalisation initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal Finance Business Partner will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must posses the below requirements;
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or a Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA).
  • Comes with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably commercial finance/business analysis experience in retail/FMCG industry.
  • Team leadership experience managing a sizeable team.
  • A self-driven, independent individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal and report writing skills.
  • Able to multitask, proactive, work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
