Description
- Be the main point of contact to clients building close relationships and be able to suitably advise
- To co-ordinate the scheduling of the audit work with client activities and requirements
- To establish the objectives of the engagement including the issue of engagement letters, timetables and deliverables.
- To make planning decisions including resourcing, staff objectives, budget review and monitor throughout
- To maintain close review of the staff audit resourcing planner, and work with other managers to cater needs of the department and the firm
- To approve the audit programming, risk assessment and audit approach to mitigate risks.
- To discuss and resolve points including audit, accounts and any disclosures
- Review and approve internal control/management letters, audit reports
- To review planning and working papers and ensure the file is ready for partner review
- To review, and often participate in, special non-audit work
- Prepare costing and quotes for assignments and preparing tender documentation
- To assist Partners to bill clients for services rendered, monitor WIP processes and provide reports
- Report to Audit Director
Profile
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA member
- Practical experience managing various audit teams and assignments
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Experience working with a varied client sector portfolio
- Experience of preparation of accounts and audit of owner-managed companies
- Experience of FRS 102 and IFRS accounting frameworks is essential
- Up to date working knowledge of financial reporting and auditing standards
- Knowledge of accounting software such as CCH is an advantage
- Knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks and Xero software is also an advantage
- Experience in working at client premises and be willing to travel in and around London
- Good time management skills and ability to meet set deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
